Reviews
We had a lovely lunch at the Ivy Asia to celebrate a birthday. Not only was the food excellent but the service delivered by the team was the best I've ever experienced. Very friendly, personable, polite, and a pleasure to engage with. The team's warmth and personalities were fantastic, it really was exceptional customer experience. Each member of the team acknowledged the birthday girl and wished her a great day. They also brought her food/drinks out first, and made an extra effort to make the day a special one. To top it off, an unexpected lot candle mini dessert was presented which was just wonderful! The overall experience was just amazing, the decorations and ambience, the presentation of the dishes and cocktails and even the toilets were remarkable! A truly wonderful occasion.
My daughter and I had lunch there today, the atmosphere is beautiful and lush, the service. First class, food was wonderful. I have a shellfish allergy and everything was labelled so I was safe! Cannot fault anything. Thank you
An amazing food experience. We were sharing multiple dishes between a few people and could not be happier. Everything tasted truly amazing. Our waiter was an absolute sweetheart. Unfortunately the waiting times for the food were little too long. But overall great. Would come back anytime.
The food was absolutely sensational and came out quickly despite being busy. Huge credit to the kitchen. We had a table booked for 7.30pm, we weren’t able to sit down until 8.10pm. No complimentary beverage or compensation towards the bill offered for this. Needed to remind about drinks twice, and a couple of dishes. Sloppy, considering the level of service we received at The Ivy in Covent Garden. The decor and atmosphere is excellent. Live DJ is as great, set a cool vibe and the clientele all a sensible volume.
First the bad The desserts were eye candy. But lacked any kind of taste enjoyment. The sides were overpriced for what they were. The server made some errors. Now the Meh The pork belly squares were OK, not inspiring. Personally I prefer my pork belly crispy on one side, not on 6 sides. As with all Ivy restaurants you are a little too close to the next table. The restrooms, whilst clean and well presented are not only deep downstairs, they are shared with the Ivy next door, making them busy. The Kimchi and pork dumplings whilst pleasant had little evidence of Kimchi when it came to taste. Lastly the good The Miso Cod was worth the £31. A dish one will find hard to forget. The house wines are to be recommended, as is the wine list. The salmon sashimi was beautifully presented and prepared. The decor is amazing.and the whole place has a positive vibe. Tip One.got the distinct impression that you were going to have the less preferred seating unless you spoke up. The exchange of glances between the three receptionist girls reinforced this. The not speaking up and being shoved in the corner is true of most Ivy restaurants, not the usual experience for us. Would I go.again? No. For two starters, mains and desserts plus 3 glasses of medium priced red the bill came to just shy of £200. The cod (who knew cod could taste so good) and the decor were great, if the rest lived up to that standard I would go back. If £200 means nothing to you, then it's an interesting experience. But if your into haute cuisine this is more Disney than serious dining.
